Shabbat Services at Beit Rayim
Beit Rayim Shabbat Services begin at 9:00 a.m. We are often blessed with many simchas through the fall and spring months. We encourage member participation in all our services and members always lead the P'seuke de Zimrah. Our D'vrei Torah are given by the Bar or Bat Mitzvah child or an adult member of the congregation (in the absence of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah).
We read Torah in a triannual cycle. Because of this, we can encourage members to read Torah, and many do. We often have members reading a number of portions on any given Shabbat. Our Bar and Bat Mitzvah children are encouraged to read extra Torah portions if they are able. There are many opportunities for our congregation to join in and participate in song and readings.
Another common feature of our Shabbat service is a discussion about Israel, during which someone in the congregation highlights a topic about Israel before the reading of the Prayer for the State of Israel. In this way, we leave our service with a heightened awareness of our connection to Israel as well as a strengthened spiritual connection.
