Welcome to Our Youth Programs 2010-2011
KINDER KIDS (JK to Grade 1) and YELADIM (Grade 2- 5)
The Yeladim and Kinder Kids programs often follow Sunday Hebrew School classes, allowing parents to drop their children off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon after a full day of learning and fun.
Activities include: Crafts, science, bowling, swimming, magic shows, concerts and more! We try to co-ordinate these activities around the Jewish Festivals and Holidays such as Sukkah decorating, Purim mask making and even a chocolate seder!
Programs in the works for the year include:
The Directors Cut Passover Haggadah edition, a Havdallah program, skating or tubing, a youth movie night/parent date night program, plus many others.
**Lunch is available 12:30-1:00 PM for a small fee and programs run from 1:00-3:00 PM unless otherwise noted.

KADIMA (Grade 6 - 8)
The Kadima program provides young teens and pre-teens a chance to mix socially in a positive Jewish environment. Jewish activities and social activities are geared to the unique needs of this in-between age. We sometimes join with other youth groups such as our USY chapter for special events. Involvement of our children in the Kadima program is extremely important in encouraging our youth to remain connected to the Synagogue and their cultural heritage.
Activities include: Sports, crafts, movies, sporting events, tubing, rock climbing, laser tag and even a Limo Sukkah Hop with our USYers.

BRUSY (Beit Rayim USY) (Grades 9 through 12)
BRUSY is an exciting youth group for high school students. USY is run by an elected student executive that is responsible for all programming under the direct supervision of a USY advisor. Some activities will raise Jewish issues challenging today’s youth, some will encourage participation in the Jewish community, while others are great social events planned just for them.
Activities include: dances, regional Shabbaton weekends, discussion groups, community outreach projects, sports such as skating parties and bowling, and of course, our ever popular USY Limo Sukkah Hop!

** Membership is not mandatory, however, a $5 surcharge will be added (per person) to each program for non-youth department members. There are approximately 12 programs throughout the year.
Our programs are always fully supervised and under the direction of our Youth Director
