Welcome to Beit Rayim Synagogue and School
Beit Rayim Synagogue and Hebrew School is located in York Region, just north of Toronto. We are affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
We are Conservative Egalitarian (Egalitarian Conservative ) Synagogue where men and women are welcome on the bimah.
We are a young congregation with a huge heart that is forever praised for our warm, "hamishe" atmosphere and participatory services.
Women and men daven side by side, and with the help of our clergy and active volunteers, we read Torah, Haftarah, prepare d'vrei Torah, and can even help lead services.
Beit Rayim is truly a "House of Friends" where members have discovered a connectedness to Judaism and to people that they had never previously imagined.

Ester Bard z"l 1944 -2012
The Congregation extends its sympathies to our Cantor, Eli Bard and his family on the sudden passing of Eli's beloved wife Ester. May her memory be for a blessing. The funeral took place on January 19th. For additional information visit the Benjamins' website. Baruch Dayan Ha-Emet. May Eli and his entire family be consoled at this time.

Beit Rayim’s Youth Program and Beit Rayim Hebrew School are very pleased to be partnering with USCJ on this year’s “Kadima Kallah” – a fun-filled regional convention for kids in Grades 5-8 on the weekend of Friday, March 2nd and 3rd, 2012. Beit Rayim kids will be “At the Circus” all weekend, with all kinds of fun-filled, Circus-themed events, together with Kadima kids from across Ontario. Michael Jay, USCJ Alim Rabbinic Fellow
Michael Jay joins Beit Rayim as USCJ Alim Rabbinic Fellow. Mr. Jay is presently in his 5th year at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City. He expects to become Rabbi Michael Jay in May 2012. Mr. Jay has an interesting background. He had been practicing law for about 15 years when he realized that he needed to pursue a career in the Rabbinate. So for the last 7 years, Michael has been studying full time and practicing law full time as well as functioning as the Rabbinic Intern at his home Synagogue, Congregation Agudath Israel in Caldwell, New Jersey. In this capacity, he has taught in various Jewish educational settings, including Hebrew School, learner’s minyanim, adult education programs, and conversion classes.
