Gabbai Training
Join us on September 13, 2025 immediately after Shabbat services for another Gabbai training session! You can still attend this session if you did not attend the May 31st session - we would be honoured to have you join us.
This session will include a live mock Torah service, allowing you to walk through the service at your own pace. You'll gain a clear understanding of the choreography, as well as the roles and responsibilities of Gabbai Torah and Gabbai Aliyot.
By the end of the session, you'll feel confident in taking on a leadership role during our services. Plus, you'll receive a comprehensive written guide covering everything discussed.
We look forward to welcoming you into this vital role in our Shabbat and Yom Tov services!
Saturday September 13, 2025 after services.

School Lunch Program
The Chesed team, in conjunction with Beit Rayim leadership, has organized a special volunteer opportunity for members. We are looking for your support to prepare school lunches for elementary students at E.J. Sand Public School in Thornhill.
Recent studies indicate that one in three children go to school hungry. Children who go to class hungry have lower energy, concentration, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Food preparation starts at 8:30am and goes on until 10 to 10:30 am. The lunches will be distributed by the school staff.
Please let us know if you are interested in joining this important and meaningful program. We are certain it will be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for you
