Hebrew School Administrator Job Description 


The School Administrator (SA) is the initial point of contact at Beit Rayim for all matters pertaining to the Hebrew School and Youth Programming. Reporting to and working closely with the Principal and Director of Youth Engagement, the SA is responsible for supporting her in the planning and preparation of all School and Youth activities. This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week, with some flexibility. Please note that weekly attendance at Hebrew School on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings is a critical part of this role.


• Act as Parent/Teacher liaison

• Address all school related inquiries

• Support teacher’s prep requirements

• Draft regular communications to teachers/parents

• Manage attendance, report card process, supplies and registration

• Care for students visiting the office

• Prepare teachers’ contracts

• Plan and execute special events and programs

• Maintain time sheets and prepare payroll summary for bookkeeper

• Support for any synagogue or school functions, as needed




• Knowledge of Jewish holidays and calendar

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Publisher, etc.

• A calm and mature demeanor is required in dealing with sensitive and/or personal situations and information

• Clean Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) 

• Spoken Hebrew would be a strong asset
